Posted March 15, 2017 by Stephanie Topacio LongNick Viall finally got a “yes” to one of his “Bachelor” proposals, but it hasn’t been all champagne and roses in the weeks since. Not long after fans started questioning the happiness of Viall and his new fiancée, Vanessa Grimaldi, on Twitter, the two hit up “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” It was there that some true awkwardness ensued, all thanks to “The Newly Engaged Game.” While the couple did pretty well with the challenge, there was one especially cringe-worthy moment that mostly flew under the radar. For each question that the couple answered correctly about one another, they earned a prize. until the final one was unveiled. Each was better than the last … Evidently, it didn’t occur to him that Viall, a repeat contender, had dated two of the women featured on the plates. That detail wasn’t lost on Grimaldi, though.”There’s two of his exes here,” she said.Unfortunately, Kimmel didn’t seem to hear her, and he kept the game going, asking them where they’d first made love. Somehow we doubt they’ll be using them anytime soon.Watch it all go down below.[via: Jimmy Kimmel Live/YouTube] Their answers matched, so they won the plates. Kimmel showed off a set of “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” china.

Posted March 15, 2017 by Stephanie Topacio LongJust in time for the arrival of the new “Beauty and the Beast,” Screen Junkies is offering us all a reminder of what this “tale as old as time” is really about: a cruel prince trapped in a beast’s body, holding a girl captive in his castle. The latest video in the Honest Trailers series debuted Tuesday, and it highlights just how “messed up” the 1991 animated classic is. All that romance you remember from childhood? Instead, we get to hear new ones that definitely wouldn’t have been allowed in the animated version of the film.Revisit Belle and the Beast’s story, as told by Honest Trailers, below. The live-action “Beauty and the Beast” opens in theaters on March 17.[via: Screen Junkies/YouTube] Of course, since this is an Honest Trailers video, the lyrics aren’t quite the same. It obscures the fact that Belle exhibits signs of Stockholm syndrome. The hilarious trailer goes on to show the ways Disney was able to distract us from all the strangeness, like by including irresistible songs.

This episode just didn’t do a thing for me. — Heather (@hp2285) March 15, 2017It’s just that “This Is Us” fans are used to having STRONG feelings about each episode, and this one was just … (It also left many fans bashing Rebecca, whether that’s fair or not.) However, other fans defended the finale, and were only disappointed with fans who were disappointed:
Disappointed so many ppl need a shocking reveal or plot twist. I understand that they wanted to show that Rebecca saved Jack, but the entire episode could/should have been condensed to 20 minutes and spent actual time on the present day. This was not a season finale, and certainly not a season finale I would expect from this show.Underwhelmed and disappointed.”Another fan agreed, writing:”They wrapped up Randall’s, Kate’s and Kevin’s storylines in one line of dialogue: “I want to sing”,”I want to adopt a baby”, “I”m just going to meet the director”. Season 1 started in September, so here’s hoping Season 2 keeps to the same schedule.Want more stuff like this? We already knew Jack’s father was a drunk and that Rebecca was a singer. I’m glad Jack didn’t die in a drunk driving accident and I wish he didn’t have to die at all, I love Milo in this role, but it did seem like a unsatisfying season finale. Oh, Jack almost became a thief.”Fans shared similar reactions on Twitter, seeming most upset that they didn’t need to stock up on tissues after all:Am I the only one who’s majorly disappointed about the season finale of @NBCThisisUs ?!😑I emotionally prepared myself for nothing. The sole moment I found captivating was Jack’s monologue at the very end.One reason I was dissatisfied was the prior episode eluded to an epic, revealing finale (Jack’s death or not), and what they gave us was an hour of poker, Jack and Rebecca loooking for/missing one another, and a fight. Some fans may not have read that news, and it’s only natural that they would expect to get a fuller picture of Jack’s death this year, since the spoiler that he died was given to us very early on.So be it. Oh well! This is still a phenomenal show, and Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore deserve all the Emmys for that heartbreaking fight scene, but….The whole episode focused just on past/present Jack and Rebecca with one very brief scene each for The Big Three. — Leslie Walter (@LeslieW0928) March 15, 2017So disappointed!! Maybe next year! 1st episode of the season I didn’t love. We feel no closer to learning what happened to Jack, but do feel sad for the beloved core couple who were left in a bad place. The rest was filler and teasing us with Jack’s death which they had been for weeks. — Ryann (@coralre4) March 15, 2017Kate’s admission on causing her fathers death was more of a shocker last wk than tonight’s entire finale episode. It had at least one great scene, and that last speech from Jack was so powerful, but many viewers weren’t left feeling the usual mix of warm-and-fuzzies and heartbreak. And for most of the season we did expect to learn the truth about Jack’s death fairly soon; it was only recently that the showrunners and stars made a point to say the story would not play out in Season 1. The episode left a few fans disappointed, hoping for more answers, more emotion, and something to live up to the previous two episodes, and to the finale hype.As a fan named Hannah commented to Entertainment Weekly:”This episode left me so underwhelmed. #ThisIsUs leaves us breathless just by being a story.

I don’t think she’s gunning for the Iron Throne anytime soon, but she realizes that Littlefinger might be a better ally than she thought, a more trustworthy ally than she thought.”We’ll see where things go from there when Season 7 shows up Sunday, July 16 on HBO.Want more stuff like this? I don’t know, it’s interesting given that some of the strands in the story are unsavory or could be seen that way and Littlefinger’s relationship with Sansa Stark is quite unorthodox, without me trying to put as much warmth into it as I can and just play it for real. I’m not aware of being a sex symbol though.Well, knowledge is power.Gillen and Turner have both talked about that loaded look in the Season 6 finale, after Jon is declared the new King in the North, despite Sansa being the one to get Petyr and the Knights of the Vale to show up to win the Battle of the Bastards. Have you been surprised by that?GILLEN: Well, I’m kind of surprised by that now because I wasn’t really aware of it. As Turner put it to The Hollywood Reporter, “She looks at Littlefinger knowing that he would have put her as Queen in the North, and given her the credit she deserves. Collider didn’t mention Creepyshippers by name — and they are not the only ones who fancy Littlefinger, they’re just a passionate fandom — but the site did surprise Gillen by bringing up Littlefinger’s fans during a Q&A mostly about the actor’s role in “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.”Here’s that section of Collider’s interview:Are you surprised by the response people have had to Littlefinger worldwide? But the studio looks to be taking the conservative approach this time around. The new “Beast” will follow the same structure as the old one, with Belle becoming a prisoner in a haunted castle full of talking furniture. The movie is also introducing a completely new character in the form of Stanley Tucci’s Cadenza. Luckily, they managed to assemble a pretty impressive lineup. 3. In this case, why fix what ain’t broken? Hey, Disney’s gotta score a shot at potential Best Song Oscar noms, you know. There Are Some Minor Changes… And that’s Josh Gad as Gaston’s bumbling sidekick, Le Fou. The biggest change looks to be a greater focus on Le Fou. Yes, It’s Still a MusicalLuckily, Disney didn’t try and replace those beloved, Alan Menken and Howard Ashman-composed songs with something new. We’re here to break down everything you need to know about this tale as old as time, including what’s different this time around.1. Their first blockbuster hitting theaters this year is “Beauty and the Beast,” the latest in a long line of live-action remakes of their classic animated movies. But don’t worry if it’s been a while since you watched your VHS copy of this Disney hit. The Beast himself will have some CG enhancements, too, even though Dan Stevens used a degree of make-up effects on set.Naturally, Beast’s transformed household servants will also be CG creations. 4. The new movie will also fill-in some narrative gaps in the original, like what happened to Belle’s mom. Also keep your ears open for the voices of Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellan, and Emma Thompson as the Beast’s transformed servants.5. There, she (duh) falls in love with a prince cursed to live a tortured existence as a hideous beast. Emma Watson plays Belle, while Dan Stevens will play the Beast in both beastly and human forms.Kevin Kline stars as Belle’s lovable father, Maurice, and Luke Evans plays the burly, self-absorbed hunter Gaston. “Beauty and the Beast” may be playing it safe in terms of plot, but that’s not to say the new movie will be a carbon copy of the original. Formerly Prince Adam’s castle composer, Cadenza was transformed into a harpsichord (naturally) when the kingdom was cursed by the witch.Fans can’t wait to see how this all plays out, when the movie hits theaters Friday. Get Ready for LOTS of CGWhile “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action movie, expect a pretty hefty amount of CG effects. The Cast Is Really ImpressiveAs beloved as the original film is, Disney really needed to “go big or go home” when it came to the cast. Expect all the classics to appear in the remake, from “Gaston” to “Be Our Guest” to “Beauty and the Beast” itself. However, there will be a few new additions to the repertoire. That’s an area where the new movie has taken a bit of flack, as some of the character designs are a little, um, nightmarish, when compared to the original film. See above. It was recently revealed that Le Fou will be the first openly gay character in a Disney movie, and his unrequited love for Gaston will be a running thread throughout the story. Celine Dion has been tapped to sing a new song, “How Does a Moment Last Forever?” This tune will play during the end credits. The Plot’s Pretty Much the SameMost of Disney’s live-action remakes have diverged from the source material quite a bit in terms of plot, with “Maleficent” being the most significant example. 2. Another new composition, “Evermore,” will also appear during the course of the film. They seem pretty determined to rake in all the money in 2017, too. Posted March 15, 2017 by Jesse SchedeenIn 2016, Disney had a record-shattering year at the box office.
